The First Major Tremor in Gazianteb, Turkey
The first major tremor struck in the early hours of Monday morning near Gazianteb, southeastern Turkey. It was followed by aftershocks that were almost as powerful. Khalil: "I didn't believe that this is happening until my son jumped out of his bed and he was screaming" Janan: "We just grabbed whatever we could have... I told them, don't panic. Let's take what we can." Schalendra: "People are just running in the streets trying to get away from the buildings"
