Zimbabwe and the IMF on a Gold-Backed Currency Standard
Lynette Zang is the chief market analyst at ITM Trading and a prominent figure in the Gold and precious metals community. She says Zimbabwe's currency has been in hyperinflationary mode for, since what, 2006 officially? They've done a number of currency resets, overnight resets, where they lop off zeros. And so does the IMF, no, they want you to stay with what they call conventional monetary stances, managing forex using derivatives, which are just big bets, leveraged bets; this is kind of leading the world in the direction that we're all going to have to go.
