Is There a Relationship Between Language and the Body Map?
There's a correspondence between what they're actually saying and what's going on in there, in their brain. So for example, m if you give am subjects am words that relate to actions that involve a particular part of the body, like kick involves your feet. Lick involves your mouth. You see a pattern of activation, generally, in the region of someta sensory and motor cortex,. That roughly seems to correspond to a the lay out of the body map in those structures. It's mind boggling.
