What Darwin Was Doing in the Origin of Species
Darwin is doing a kind of vipassana meditation where basically you look, you stay, it's a constant return to the evidence. And he just keeps trying and species after species to like pin the line down. He doesn't want it to be artificially constructed, but he can't kind of like avoid seeing the sort of arbitrariness of it.
