The Invincible Fallacy and the Death of Single Motherhood
Sally Kohn: The idea that people are deprived or people are depraved because they're deprived, happened in the 60s. She says we destroyed the self-sorting of people and created a society where single motherhood shot up through murder rates. Kohn: We have an incentive structure for people to take rational economic actions is perverted. And it's sad that these programs continue to get funded and produce worse outcomes.
