I think I do believe that as moderns that we've got some great things. We have some types of sensitivity to interiority and into relationships, as well as justice and equity. And I think we can't forget that those are real achievements, and we should love those accomplishments. In the meantime, we shouldn't think that because we have some accomplishments that our ancestors were stupid and have nothing to contribute to us. So I see this kind of like, you know, layers of verticality, in which our world doesn't believe in certain virtues that just there's just not even important. Whereas our medieval ancestors would have thought that they were preeminent.
