Trans Women and the National Democratic Movement

i think it's really important for listeners to think about these struggles that are going on globally and be able to connect with them. And i'm so happy that we've had the opportunity to learn from those struggles and those experiences here. There is this kind of idea that the cultural export of us. Imperialism is sort of socially progressive liberalism, but that's really to ignore the brutality of us. That does export that violence, which really exists. If we want to oppose imperialism, that can't look like reaffirming that sort of violence on an ideological level. We have to be opposed it, and that means solidarity with trans people in that struggle.
