The Scale Problem - We Need Concessional Money
The entire global aid budget is $160 billion per year. We need at least $3 trillion a year to mitigate the climate, he says. And we need half a trillion dollars a year to adapt to the countries that are vulnerable. The private sector can get involved because there's money in it for them and they're not going to fund on their balance sheet. If we ask for money, for cash, for grants, for everything, we'll get nothing, Mr Cameron adds.
