Having a Dead Mouse in Your Soup?

The firmware somehow managed to muddle through like, Oh, like 50% of my hardware is not functioning. It has no way of indicating what's I mean, like, it knows there's a raging inferno down there, but it's got no way of indicated it. Like, couldn't you have told me that something was a mess? I'm running off and time it back on. And just count my lucky stars. I had one server to recover, not 10,000 in the data center that would have sucked.
