The Hair on Your Ears
Adrian was effectively a trailblazer when it came to bow ties. He didn't get a melee bow but he did wear white socks with his after dinner speeches. I wish somebody had told me you can and should cut the hair on your ears. A Turkish barber asked him if he wanted my ears doing that thing where they flick the litt. Oh, yeah. Threading sounds really gentle, doesn't it? You know, like threading through a crowd. But it's awful anyway.
