Mastodon Administrators Have Access to Everyone's DMs by Default
I think they should have their own reporters who are under contract with them as reporters and employees. I thought that would have been the better way down that. There was one other bullet point on that list of reasons why they didn't like it, which concerned me: Mastodon administrators have access to everyone's DMs by default. Hadn't even crossed my mind that any random Mastodon instance that you might sign up to, your Dms are open, potentially open to any administrator on that system. That's pretty damning. And again, I can't blame them for walking away from it.
