How to Assess a Person's Profession of Faith

There needs to be some process for Assessing a person's profession of faith at least hearing and then affirming it. Some churches use language of partnership or not membership. We don't want to be membership nazis in the sense that there are going to be all kinds of times when there are exceptions uh to regular practice.
