The project is nine point seven kilometers from the shore line of the great barrier reef marine park. In those waters are important fish breeding grounds, a sea grass meadows that jugongs fedon and turtles. And so my inclination, of course, is to not proceed with this. But there's a ten day consul ation period that's open at the moment,. i will wait for that consultation period to be complete, ill conclude consultation with the queen's lane state government, with the proponents of the project, with the opponents of the project - then i'll make my final decision.
