The Conflict Between Adonai and Baal

In the Euguritic literature, one of the main figures among the children of El is a storm deity named Baal. This may have been the divine profile that Adonai adopted when they were brought into the northern hill country and inserted into the Israelite pantheon. And we seem to have a lot of conflict in the Hebrew Bible between Adonai and Baal.
