I found it quite shocking actually to find issues that I thought were resolved suddenly back on the table, particularly issues about my own life. You know, when you do politics for a really long time, sometimes you don't find policies and so visceral. But I found myself almost fairly angry at that concept because of, like, my lovely, beautiful thing. And I needed to calm myself down. It was a bit of a weird kind of black swan moment. The first openly gay parliamentarian elected for the Tories in Scotland across the European Parliament,. across Westminster, across Holy Roode. So within six months of becoming a professional politician, I was suddenly in charge of a political party -
