The US-India Strategic Bet in the Indo-Pacific

The US has essentially made a strategic bet that a stronger, better equipped, more prosperous India is an inherent good for the United States in the Indo-Pacific. Even if Indian naval ships and aircraft aren't going to be showing up to a conflict on the Korean peninsula or the Taiwan Strait, the US still sees India as an important bulwark for whatever you want to call it,. And I think that's very much at play here.
