Effects of Fact Checks on Belief Accuracy

Ethan porter is a po scientist at george washington university in washington, d c. He has written an article on the efficacy of fact checks and their effect on belief accuracy. People were exposed to up to seven fact checks in each country, and or seven pieces of corresponding misinformation. Fact checs increase factual accuracy by more than eight times the amount that misinformation degrades factual accuracy. The study was conducted in partnership with fact checking organizations all over the world.
