Interleaving Leads to Better Learning

The students who were doing it that way were performing less well during learning. This shows an unimportant and important aspect of learning. Just because something produces high performance initially doesn't mean the students are learning it in a way that makes it longer lasting and durable overtime. I came across a really interesting study to day, actually, as i was kind of getting ready for this podcast. It's a simulation where they had a machine learning task. And what they found was that interleaving problems actually provided this in learning tusk with better opportunities to detect errors and to correct them.
