The scam here is that it appears to you as if they are the airline, as if you have called Delta Airlines. They can just go on Delta.com or southwest.com, plug in that information and rebook you on another flight. And at the end of that, you get to your destination because they reissue the ticket through the airline website. If you call a number for what you think is an airline and somebody picks up right away, it's almost certainly not the airline. The EAA AirVenture starts this weekend and runs through the following weekend. More than 10,000 aircraft and 500,000 people over the course of a week.
