The Importance of Metrics in Software Development
In my experience, it's quite difficult to focus on the outcomes. It's very easy to fall back in having outputs as a main focus of your roadmap. And what I would try to do is to have metrics that are connected with metrics and goals that cut across the business. So they're not just product goals, but should really be on spending the entire business from how we want sales to be going, how we want customer success and sports, we're going. But it's a 3G one, and in so many other cases, we just end up looking at the Outputs instead and counting lines of code.
