Ibn Batuta traveled 2,000 miles over the past eight months. He was plagued by fever and often tied to a saddle to prevent him from falling off his mount. Ibn Batuta would arrive in Alexandria in late 1325 or early 1326. The next plan was to go across the Sinai Peninsula with a hodge-podge caravan.
