What Is Consciousness?
The question is, if you and I are playing Pokemon Go or we're playing Fortnite, do our avatars have consciousness? At one level, you might say, no, on the other hand, we're playing those characters. And so if you were so fully associated with that character that you forgot, there was a part of you outside, your conscious experience would be the conscious experience of that character. That gets back to the question of what is consciousness, right? Which is a very difficult question to answer.
