"I've had conversations with people who are concerned about us because they think that open table church means you're affirming and open and progressive," he says. "Any number of people are going to take it in a million different directions", the pastor adds. He also talks about how Josh Butler was on COVID, saying some people read so much into neutral phrases like Jesus loves all people which has been their motto for 20 years but were taken as a stab against black lives matter.
