The book is inspired by Benjamin Netanyahu's father's visit to Cornell in the 1960s. The story is told from the perspective of a professor who already was teaching at some fictional college. I picked it up because my husband had read it and loved it. And they kept saying to me, this is a very Jewish book. So we don't know if you're going to like it. Vanessa: Was it unusual for me? It did win the Pulitzer Prize in 2021,. But I think it does have some mass appeal.
