The Late Bronze Age, Isn't It?
A lot of written material from the later bronze age world hasn't been published. You only have official records, these are the only ones that have survived. So you have a limited range of material. But among this limited range is a number of letters which the great kings of the age wrote to each other. They often begin with blessings and then get down to winging and bitching about each other. That's how we learn more about them personally because of what they themselves say.
