There were at least two groups that arrived, and they can be identified by their languages. One group of celts were known as the brithons, and they spoke a language known as brethonic. Albion shares the root of the latin word for wite, which might refer to the white cliffs of dover. And welsh has been rescued from the brink and is now widely spoken in wales.
