The Industrial Revolution in Mesopotamia

Mesopotamian cities enabled incredible economic growth and dynamism. Nearby cities provided ready markets for manufactured goods like textiles, which were a business of enormous scale in mesopotamia. The more complex the industries, the more ansillary goods were needed to create their own cycles of demand and production. Having so many people packed so close together made the region genuinely unique.
