Antimicrobial Resistance in Microbes
There is evidence to suggest that the compounds in these products do induce antibiotic resistance. The danger here is some of these products will leave some bacteria alive, as we've already discussed. If there are concerns about the use of a cosmetic ingredient, the EU Commission can ask its independent panel of experts to review the ingredient.
