The Catholic Church in Ireland collapsed when it was discovered that its credibility was unearned and corrupt. In a local church, I can think of a pastor right now who discovered that something awful had happened in the history of his church. What he did was to speak to the entire outside community and say, this is what happened. This is how this happened. Do you see any gaps or holes in that? And let's get this right.
Our good friend and partner in The After Party project, Russell Moore, joins us to talk about his new book, “Losing Our Religion: An Altar Call for Evangelical America.” Curtis and Russell talk about why “mapping” our loss is critical for those who currently feel culturally, politically, or spiritually homeless. We explore two kinds of maps - the “treasure map” and the “minefield map” - and why Christians need both.
