Some of his favorite sounds in his library were recorded on a $99 recorder. Dave Farmer and I were recording on mini disk back on Lord of the Rings with $100 plug-in microphones. You know, that was always inspiring to me too early on was, you know, to own a wide range of things. It wasn't just the expensive stuff that he wanted to own. I mean, I wanted to own cheap stuff too. That's the problem.
