Is Gaming Changing Our Lives?
Is this really the end point, that the influence of the gaming industry wasn't just on the entertainment industry, it was actually on the fundamentals of how we experienced life? It certainly seems to be that way. One of the reasons why that seems strange is gaming has always been so technically limited that it hasn't appealed to many. But no category has been changed more rapidly by moor's law than gaming. And we're now at the point where that technology is proliferating to every use case. Is a belief that play, socializing is just such an inherently compelling human pastime that television, one third of our waking hours, including work, is being substituted.
