Harvard and Its Culture

Harvard dropped Greek and Latin in part because they wanted to admit more students. It was not a gigantic social party like some of the other colleges that always tend more towards meritocratic culture. The debut talk ball thing sounds kind of trashy for those kind of people. Right to the to the Brahmins it would have been trashy. I'm guessing you would need to be in skull and bones in the real old days as the other guys on campus are your cousins and shit.
