What Do We Know About Spartacus?
We know very, very little about spartacus before he became a gladiator. He was probably reasonably well fed because you don't want gladiators to be weak. From the roman point of view, this would be humiliating punishment. Spartacus apparently was a mermilo, which means that he was slightly more heavily armed.
