The Interpretation of Revelation by Augustine

Augustine was a horizontal dualist with a severe and dour attitude toward earthly existence. He had absorbed from his late antique Christian culture ideas about salvation and damnation that are not well represented in the Bible. As an older person his mind was intensely gold-driven rather than curious, to him words could be extracted from text to support his worldview or ignored because they did not do so. A massive amount of book 20 of the city of God is pure exegesis.
