Delaney Chokes gave a talk in April of 2015, General Conference called the parable of the Sower. When attitudes or priorities are fixed on the acquisition, use or possession of property, we call that materialism. Those who believe in what has been called the theology of prosperity are suffering from the deceitfulness of riches. And their absence is not evidence of heavenly disfavor.

How can riches deceive us? Dr. Daniel Becerra explores the Parable of the Wheat and Tares and examines the themes of the Kingdom of Heaven in Luke and Matthew. Dr. Becerra also examines the role of Jesus’s family and women in his discipleship.
