The Origins of the Treadmill
The treadmill got its start in 500 BC when people were walking on a water wheel to irrigate crops. In Egypt there's kind of a form, frist of a, of a treadmill that converts human lower extremity work into useful work by turning a shaft. And then we had horses. So trying to get people to crank out calories and Watts just wasn't as useful.
