Axel Rose, Lead Singer of Guns N' Roses
"It just sounds like a human voice to me. It doesn't sound like a guitar, and that's kind of where I left it," he says. "I put it out to all of you, what do you all think this is? Can you get any more specific than that?" A listener wrote in with the following: "There's a terrible thing I've always done with my voice, which is sounding notes while inhaling instead of exhaling." John also made a version of this sound where he put it through some effects, sort of similar to what Axel is maybe using on this recording.
