Is the Modern Liberal State a Political Entity?
The modern liberal state falls perilously close to being unable to justifiably call for war. All that can justify killing is an existential threat to one's own way of life, not a higher GDP. If a people living under liberalism cannot make the decision for war by implication because they have no common way of life and thus have no common enemy, then the political entity of that people, the state, no longer actually exists.
