Transmembrane Action Potential
In order to explain how this was working, I had to get down into the cell structure of the heart and explaining how electrical waves flow across the heart. The metaphor that I took was somebody jumping up and down on a springboard, into a swimming pool. We've all know exactly what that says, pretty familiar, we jump up and down. So if we froze that person at the bottom of that depression, there is enormous potential for energy or action at that moment. That actually works in oscillating flows across the membrane of the cell wall. Really, really powerful, really good way to describe it.
