Design Patterns - The Worst Thing Ever?

i don't think any of us go saying, oh, you know what? I'm going to come out with the most overly complex architecture i could possibly come up with. And and yet, we do that all the time, all the time. The worst thing is when a customer had organized their code based on folder names of design patterns.
