The Importance of Redefining Abortion as Health Care
A judge in Wyoming blocked a law that would have banned the use of pills for abortion. Peter Bergen: The judge involved insisted on talking about reproductive health care, defining abortion as health care. He says there's a libertarian drive on the part of many who believe this kind of law increases personal liberty. Bergen: But when health care is then redefined to include such issues as abortion, it may have unexpected consequences.
