A White Dwarf Is Not Burning Fuel
When it can no longer fuse stuff, there's nothing to keep the star propped up. Te the corb will collapse. The outer layerswill fluff off. Crisp at that point, it'll be like a red giant, like beetle juices to day gets jus t. If it's big enough, it'll super nova. Our star is not big enough to do that. And then, depending on the size of the core left behind, it'll either be a white dwarf or a neutron star.
