What Is a Socialist Revolution?
A socialist revolution is challenging the material interests of the bourgeoisie. It's not just trying to overthrow one particular government or one particular leader who has been a little bit excessively authoritarian. Once fighting happens, then the whole political situation is dictated by the needs of the army and the military situation. That leads to a warlike command economy that also reduces the scope for what socialism can look like economically.
