The Benefits of Learning a Foreign Language

Is there any benefit of learning Japanese as an Indian? Which foreign language should one learn according to you? Suraj says, I recently visited Malaysia and they did not treat Indian people very well. Is there any reason behind this? I do not know. If you look at the relations between India and Malaysia from a geopolitical government to government perspective, the relations aren't very good.
