The Importance of Urban Planning in the United States
The conversation about closing a street off to cars is just sort of like a regular issue that happens all the time in Amsterdam. In places where they actually open up this question to a referendum or a vote, you generally see the keeping streets open to pedestrians winning the day. It's tough sometimes for me to get out of the circle of urban planning when I hear about the US because I never hear what's going on there.
