The Challenges for Writing an English Language
Scientists often see this as a language issue, right? They don't know which preposition goes here or there. This is one of the problems i find with trainings of scientists. It shouldn't be that hard for them. And it's also shown throughout other cultures. A ken highland who is a major researcher in second language writing said, at this level, when you're writing in science, it's really about rhetoric. It's not about language. That seems to describe the process you went through. The more science you did, the further you got away from understanding audience and so on.
