St. Augustine was the first permanent European settlement in North America or United States. It's nicknamed ancient city, for those who don't know, it's in northeast Florida. St. Augustine himself was a mor, or north African descended from north African So it's no coincidence they would name a place that is potentially Moorish slash Islamic.
