How Demanding Is Rule Consequentialism?

Bradley Wilkinson: How demanding is rule consequentialism going to ultimately be? He says it's difficult to work out just how demanding it will be and whether the degree of demandingness matches our common sense views about how demanding morality can be. Wilkinson: I think making enormous sacrifices for the sake of helping others is obviously morally permitted, but beyond that tremendously admirable.
