No Answers in the Orim and Thumbim

How would no answer work if the riman thumi were too flat? The idea would be that you would throw the objects and then see what faces were showing. For example, the urim might have the word urim written on one face, but the other side would be blank. This would be a system that had two bits of band width, rather than just one. And by the way, i do love applying modern data processing terminology to biblical exegesis.
