Theology of the Atonement of Christ

The message of the New Testament is that God out of His great love has provided the means of atonement through Jesus Christ. By His death on the cross, Christ has made possible the reconciliation of alienated and condemned sinners to God. The four gospels devote a disproportionate amount of space to Jesus' so-called passion which is to say the final week of His suffering and His crucifixion.
